	wordless, frustrated grumble
	Man, I really want to work on those stories! I'm doing something I've never done before - working on TWO at the same time. I just got some really good lines for one of them (inspired by reading the interview with Cristine Rose in the new-ish Heroes Official Magazine), so I started on it, too. Many requests will be fulfilled! tosses confetti Perhaps there's a Ritual smorgasbord in the future. But for now - it's just day after day of having no more than 10 minutes a day to work on them. I can't live on 60 words a day. I want to stretch my legs... but yet again, not tonight. And perhaps not tomorrow night, either. Stupid poopy day job, and gosh darn my friends for either needing me desperately, or providing things that I need desperately, or both! Stupid love. It's for schmucks. I listened to the new episode of "Heroes: The Official Podcast" from BBC7 today and it made me all goopy and sentimental. I want my Season 2 DVDs right the hell now, but in the meantime I guess I'll have to soothe myself with my crappy dubbed VHS-with-the-commercials-in. But I think I must. It's so horrible how I've become this format snob recently; I hate watching things on VHS now, especially television. Even my Bad Boyfriend™. It doesn't change the fact that the tape is in the player right now... I just haven't turned it on for a couple of months. But I've got a need to be reunited... to climb back into the thicket of the Drunk!Nathan Beard/Hedgehog of Doom. Tags: status report, whine

I have indeed - and watched some video, too (as best I could; none of the computers I have access to really wants to play both the video and the audio, let alone at the same time, let alone in sync).

Milo and Adrian are SO each other's date. :)

Hah, I can't believe that there are still people who haven't seen this picture. It has been posted 209329485 times on my flist (not that I mind).

I recommend Heroes_TV, the Newsletter or

12_12_12's journal. That way you won't miss epic pictures like these. ;)

I haven't had time to check my f-list for weeks now. I've barely had time to check on my own LJ... I almost never see anything in a timely fashion. I'm legendary for only getting into bands ten years after they've broken up.

I'm just glad I've seen the pictures now!

Interview with Cristine Rose as inspiration?!? I can't wait to read it. Heroes season2 DVDs? Why must you taunt me?

Can't wait to read what you write. Meantime, I'm trying to find the throughlines on a couple of stories that are percolating so I can start writing.

Yeah, the Cristine interview isn't really much more than we've already been given, but she's just ridiculously jazzed to have the role, and it's mindblowing how much thought she's put into it. It shows, for sure (that's the true measure of learning through experience; she can be given a quite thin premise and character, and she quickly makes up a lot of backstory for it that won't necessarily be contradicted by what comes later. Oh theatre arts, how I love you! See also: Zachary Quinto).

I am starting to think she's secretly a Petrelli-shipper. That could just be me, though.

Your throughlines will come, as they did for me after a couple of weeks (argh!) of indecision. God knows that picture linked above can do nothing but help. :D

It was an interesting challenge; the story wasn't supposed to exceed the character limit of a reply.

That would be wonderful... I propose that you poke it with sticks until it decides to cooperate.

With the thing I'm writing now I almost had to approach it the back way (GOD, NOT LIKE THAT, YOU PERV!) via Arthur. Allowing myself to really consider him, and the way he sees and relates to both Peter and Nathan, brought to mind the way that Angela would see them. And Angela is very, very perceptive, so... er, yeah. You get what I'm saying.

I love Christine's Woodstock theory. She seems the polar opposite of Angela character-wise and I have so much respect for her. (And I have my suspicions that we will see Arthur in Volume 3. *crosses fingers*)

As for your question in your last entry whether people want to read a 11000 word Ritual/Petrelli backstory... WHAT DO YOU THINK? ;)

I love the Woodstock theory, too! (And my fingers are also crossed. I wish I hadn't thought of casting Adrian as Arthur; now if they don't do it, I'll be disappointed.)

I don't know... seriously... the most popular fic stories are the short ones, a thousand words or so - stuff that goes quickly.

Forgive me for being insecure. I'm going through a lot of seriously bad, heavy stuff in my life right now, and I am struggling to have any faith in anything I do - including, or maybe especially, my writing ability.

I can only speak for myself but I love longer stories - especially from you. The reading experience is simply more intense for me if I get more time to immerse myself in a story. The climax and resolution usually feels more satisfying after a longer built up, too. And as much as I love your smut, I really do like your plot-heavy pieces just as well. So, whatever you are coming up with, I will be looking forward to it. :)

And I'm sorry that you are feeling so insecure right now. Imagine me as your virtual cheerleader. ;)
