Yes, you do.

It would be so easy to make us all so happy. So easy. Please, just think about it, Chris. Please.

Heroes casting news: I am PSYCHED!
Well, maybe not the best. No, who am I kidding? THE BEST. When I found this out I was so excited I had to go out and walk around so that I wouldn't just start screaming with joy right here in the office.

Cut just in case you consider casting news a spoiler... )
I am EXPLODING. I am so happy I have a headache now. God, I love this show.

Ritual 30/31 wins Heroes Slash Award (winter'08)!
Photobucket

The results of the Heroes Slash Awards were announced day before yesterday - and I won for "Ganymede and Endymion" and "Montreal", for Best Peter/Adam (R–NC-17 rating)! (And runner-up for a couple of other categories...!)

Thanks to everyone who voted, and I'm incredibly glad you liked my stuff. I am also incredibly jazzed to see so many of the fics I voted for having won in their respective categories - there was just too much to see and vote on, but I did my best (and had a lot of fun in the process)!
further musings )

Congrats to all the other winners and nominees! I'm happy and honored to be amongst you. Long live Heroes fandom!

Rec! "Lethe's Shore"
(heavily edited from its original form)
I just spent my work day reading linaerys's [info]heroes_bigboom story, "Lethe's Shore". This story has left me a shattered, teary-eyed, schmoopy wreck. I can't possibily recommend it highly enough. It's a time investment - it's a novella for sure, close to 60K words - but so very, very worth it for the lovers of Petrelli 'cest and intrigue, and the beauty that could be Moheter, and the tangly angst of the possible future.

Amazing.

big fat rec: "The Making of Nathan Petrelli"
Now if this isn't one of the best P'cest fics ever written, I will eat my hat (and I really LIKE my hat).

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at The Making of Nathan Petrelli before it got expanded and went live, and I was blown away by the utterly believable detail and emotional sophistication of this extended examination of the life of Nathan, and the important place that Peter holds within it. And, of course, because we like that sort of thing, how it eventually becomes something rather different. But it's all about how they get there, and how life changes both Peter and Nathan as they grow toward adulthood, and have to manage the minefield of life as a Petrelli.

Splendid work from Trekker, who is damn good in general anyway, but this almost 40,000-word epic is amazing. Check it out if you're a fan of the P'cest, or of Nathan in general - and who doesn't love Nathan??

Even More Awesome: Heroes in repeat
OK, this is what's going down - there are different hosts for different episodes, which are supposedly "their favorites". (Which... SQUEEEEE)

Here we go:
Monday, Aug 13 Ali and Adrian - Collision
Monday, Aug 20 Milo and Hayden - Homecoming
Monday, Aug 27 Masi and James - Six Months Ago
Monday, Sep 3 Greg and Jack - Company Man
Monday, Sep 10 Sendhil and Zach - Parasite (YES! YES! YES!!!!)

OK how much does this rock! (but sad that they don't team up the BFFs Adrian and Milo - and they inflict Greg on Jack yet again; maybe Jack will actually spin-kick Greg in the face this time, like he seemed to want to do during their NBC.com episode commentaries. Bless Annoyed!Jack... It's enough to make me slash'em. But ZACH AND SENDHIL?!? They know! I swear to God, they know!!)

Thanks to this post at Television Without Pity... goddess bless the Media thread...
